Natural Horsemanship

I grew up in Barcelona, Spain, learning to ride under the tutelage of a retired Spanish Calvary Officer. Lessons were no-nonsense. You were expected to sit your trot, get your diagonals right when posting and know your leads at the canter. All this taught me to be an exemplary equestrian at an early age, but it didn’t teach me about the relationship which can be fostered between horse and rider. For the last ten years I have been studying the natural horsemanship methods of John and Josh Lyons, Clinton Anderson, Chris Cox, Gawani Pony Boy and most notably, Pat Parelli. Now I would like to be able to offer the knowledge I have gained to share with others the importance of reading the body language of horses, understanding each of their individual horsenalities and putting your principles ahead of your goals. It’s not always easy, but if you take the time it takes, it really does take less time in the long run!

Natural Horsemanship Training for You and Your Horse:

Getting started in Natural Horsemanship is a commendable goal, but not always an easy one to follow through on.  I can help you through the rough spots, provide encouragement, guide you and your horse through the phases of learning and provide moral support.  I also have a great network of friends who practice natural horsemanship as well and we meet and practice with our horses regularly.  If this sounds like something you might be interested in getting involved in, don’t hesitate to contact me for more information or got to NYNaturalEquestrians.com to learn more!  Don’t have a horse?  Not a problem.  See the rates for learning Natural Horsemanship as part of our lesson program.
